3 tips to feel your best on your wedding day
Treat yourself to a facial a few days before
On a whim the day before my own wedding, I decided to treat myself to a facial. My skin had felt so dry and dehydrated and I wanted it to look it’s best on my wedding day. I’m so glad I did. It made all the difference for my skin!
These two facials are both great options to get your skin glowing:
Microdermabrasion- This facial removes dead skin cells that become sluggish over time causing skin to look dull and lifeless. It’s an exfoliating facial (the device used on your face kind of feels like a cat licking your face). If you have never gotten a facial before, this is the one I would recommend starting with. There is no down time with this treatment and you are able to apply makeup immediately. Your skin will feel soft and look so glowy!
Dermaplaning- A deeper exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin cells and unwanted "peach-fuzz" or fine hairs from the face and neck. This facial is a game-changer. Because the “peach-fuzz” is removed, makeup applies so smoothly to your skin! Whether you plan on wearing a lot of makeup or not on your wedding day, your skin will thank you for getting this facial!
Wear comfortable shoes
This tip comes from personal experience. On my wedding day, I decided it would be a good idea to wear 4 inch heels. If I could’ve changed one thing about my wedding, it would’ve been my choice of heels. Wearing comfortable shoes will help with walking down the aisle, standing for long periods of time, dancing, and walking to desired location spots for wedding photos.
Drinking water has so many benefits such as flushing out toxins, preventing headaches, improving your complexion. On your wedding day though, between nerves, standing for long periods of time, and talking to a lot of people, it helps to keep hydrated continuously throughout the day to help you stay calm and feel your best!
